It's a hell of an admission, considering he never played for them.

Someone should tell him he never played for them.

I would say back 5 and the keeper and turf (watching back the highlights) had something to do with all the defenders being poor.

But I expected this when this manager came in and if I have a serious concern it remains in midfield.

To be fair the whole back four were disappointing.

Johnson was very disappointing against Hertha Berlin at right back so I doubt he is the answer to our left back problem based on that performance

Yeah, he'll be shit. Played 1, scored 1. Young, ambitious, committed, looking to get into the French team.

Or Arnie? Towards the end of his career, puts in a performance when he feels like it, does fuck all the rest of the time, whilst his cancerous brother tries to capitalise on his gambling-addicted sibling by monetising the fuck out of him.

I know who I prefer from the two.

Let’s be honest, Arnie has a good half season in the couple of years he was with us.

I think Haller will be great for us and he’ll take over from Giroud in the French squad.

Re: Bertha Berlin v West Ham
If we’re honest I doubt Haller will be as good as Arnie. Arnie was a tough moody fucker who was experienced at Premier league level.

Haller had a shit first season at Dortmund by his own admission so may well take a season or two to adapt, hopefully that will not be the case, but we must give him time as only 22, there lis the rub, one for the future as where Arnie will be going all slitting eyed.

Fornals looks like he will adapt immediately for me, looks top quality.

Left back will be a massive problem, the whole league must have worked out that Cresswell and Masuaku can’t defend and we have no DM. I can see Fredericks at RB and Johnson at LB.

Daveyg,

Crossed wires, mate - cheers! It doesn't help getting too involved with the discussions, I can't help, sometimes.

Fingers crossed with Coventry. But, as you say, i can't see him having too much bench or game time, anytime soon.

Although after seeing Rice and to a lesser degree Diangana and Johnson coming through, it gives hope that maybe Coventry and a couple more can progress into the first team.

We shall see.

I wasn't being aggressive in my reply just stating my reason for it.

Yes That was my question.
You might be right about Coventry,he will surely get a start in the League cup game but when else ? Can't see him having much bench though, unless we have a shed load of injuries.

Good attacking performance, poor defensive performance.
Particularly concerned by the keeper Roberto. he looks a bit "Darren Randolph" in his lack of judgement.

For the record, I don't like Sanchez. as someone else mentioned he gives the ball away far too easily. I remember the Wolves home game last season, just before his injury, he gave away the ball for the Wolves eventual winner. Cunted himself right there, in that moment, the kind of cunting you don't, easily, come back from

News on Fabianski

Fabianski felt his groin and will get it checked out but apparently it is not considered serious at this point and he should be ok for Man City

Re: Bertha Berlin v West Ham
We could definitely do with some bulk in the midfield.

Look very lightweight

The two centre backs weren't great granted.

But that offside trap malarkey takes some practice and you'd expect it to be a tad rusty at this stage, that's why we have these games.

They'll need to sort it sharpish as we're playing the team best equipped to expose it.

daveyg,

Im not asking you to defend him. If you saw my second reply, i apologised for misreading your post.

Am i right in thinking you was asking me who i would get in as a DM ? if you did, then my answer is i don't know.

I think there is a possiblity in the future that Conor Coventry could fill the role, but he needs to bulk up a bit more.

I only watched a little bit of our game in passing this morning, but I thought I saw Sanchez a little higher up the pitch than I expected to, and being a little creative?

Unless that wasn't him, as I said I only really saw bits and pieces.

I don't need to defend a player from my own team who is not good enough. I'm on a West Ham site not down the pub. I can't really see the value in Sanchez. Time and time again he is caught in possesion,he's so slow to react or act. He will not prove me wrong and will continue to be a liability if he plays over anyone in our squad.
Diangana is the one player who I will love to prove me wrong. He'll be extemely valuable to have off the bench.

Between 8th and 4th is my guess, anything less than 8th will be a dissapointment though.
